I am on a bit of a tear with sketches -
I forgot how much I get done when I am given a challenge or sketch!
Today I popped by The Paper Players & loved their challenge
ans instantly knew what I wanted to work with -
My NEW stamp set!
Here is the link to the challenge if you would like to play along
Here is their sketch
I recently ordered Lawn Fawn Love Letters & the Happy Mail die,
these were the perfect sets for this challenge.
Here is my card
I cut a square die and lawn fawn grass.
I distress inked the background clouds.
The mail comes out of the mailbox and opens.
here it is with out the mail.
I took the above photos in the sun,
these were taken without direct light.
I have been try different lighting to get better pictures.
Bare with me threw this process.
If you have any lighting tips or tricks please feel free to share -
I would love to here them!
This is super cute! Love your sky back ground, it goes so well with your little scene.

A Mermaid's Crafts
Love, love, love your little mailbox... and adding the special note inside is precious! Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card, and I love that the little love note comes out...I love interactive cards!!
ReplyDeleteAs for your photo lighting...I like the bottom photo more, the one above has a bit of a yellow tinge to it...even though natural light is suppose to be the best for photography.
I have that die set too! LOL And I haven't used it yet! I Adore your card - It's so cute with that sweet bird and wonderful job with those clouds! As for the lighting - I'm no expert or anything but direct sunlight makes it look yellowish - the indirect sunlight seems to give it the perfect amount of light - looks clear & crisp - Also - don't be afraid to use a photo editing program to help achieve the best pictures! I take anywhere from 6 - 15 photo's of one project - and then decide which ones I think are best.. then use some photo editing to dwindle it down to 1 or 2 pictures that I will use for posting - Blogging takes a lot of work as does videos - So I appreciate it when people post, because I know how much time can go into it - :)
