Happy Harvest Banner

Well I almost finished it!!

I need to put something on the blank Pennants.
Everything I tried was not working -
I need something Prim - So I need to create
a pumpkin or crow or something.

Will work on that -

I saved the template so I can make other
Banners & for my fabulous friends.

What a great Crop task.

Here is how I did it :

I created the shape & Printed letters

Then inked the edges with
orange, red & brown distress ink

 Then I sprayed them with
my homemade shimmer mist

Let them dry & then put
eyelets in every corner to help
with tearing hanging evenly.

Tada - Just need some pumpkins -
I will add a photo of finished Mantle
after all of my wonderful Partylite comes!

Time Flies . . . . .

Well were does all the time go when it flies away.

I have sat in my little sanctuary once possibly twice all summer!

Don't get me wrong, I am an avid believer that Summer is Short,
get out there & make the very best of it .
I actually get cranky when inside on beautiful hot days.

That being said, out family bought a 27'Trailer
at the end of June & we USED it!
I am so sad to see it getting packed up till spring.
We also purchased a boat last week-end &
are hoping to get that out a few times as well
before we pack it up for the long cold months.

Garett tried out for the local AAA hockey program,
and was cut on the last day.
All we have to say as a family is
thank God for unanswered prayers.
He will be back at NorWest with excellent Coaches -
he will be chipped in the draft this week-end.
GO NORWEST!

Taylor has returned,
( as if she had taken a break - ha )
to Giant Gymnastics!
If you are looking for a club in Thunder Bay -
I could talk your ear off with reasons
why this club would be the RIGHT choice for you.
Last year her coaches recognized her with 3 awards.
We were so VERY proud of her.
She is going into her 3rd year of CDP,
Competitive Developmental Program.
She has learned a great deal of skills & life lessons
in the last two years & is blossoming
into a beautiful young Lady.

Alexander is GROWING
and is so adorable with all of the funny little things he says.
The one that always seems to come up is
"my butt farted" or "Did your butt fart?"
Fridays will continue to be Alex days.
He also is thrilled to be "doing"
gymnastics again this fall,
not just dropping Taylor off.
Today he announced "Am going in there today for nastics",
as we pulled up to the building.

Well that is a recap in a nut shell.
We are working on the house still & Are making some progress.
I will update you with photos are we do.

I am hoping on making a Harvest Banner today?
or shall I say over the week-end.
I just ordered a few Halloween Decorations from Partylite
& am itching to get all of that started!

Hope to have pics for you soon,
here is some inspiration photos I am working from -
hope it turns out!

Happy Fall!

HideAway - before & after a Tidy

Ok so I was taking pictures of the card bins
and had to be creative as my room around them
was a complete mess so I tackled it next.

It started out as fun,
but did not take long to become work !! LOL

Before ....
( did not take lots of pic, esp closet ... ha ha )

This is from the doorway, you can see the mess all
over my desk, filing cabinet & well every where .....

Taa Daa... everything has a place & is in it's place, .....almost.

From the doorway, you can see the top of desk & filing cabinet.

I have this bin of material out for a project I am going to do
& Garett's printer doesn't have a home yet .....
possibly his room?

Under the desk, I made new labels &
believe it or not I even cleaned out a bunch
of the drawers so that I could relabel them
with what they SHOULD be.

Under main portion of desk -
Taylor's craft bin is the blue one in the corner.
Should switch some of those around -
maybe next time . . .

My Making Memories shelf,
wanted this for awhile but it was $100.
I bought it over a year ago on
boxing day for 50% of + and
extra 25% so of course it was coming
home with me for $33 !!!

Bargain Shopper!

This is an other Making Memories Shelf,
Clearance for $10.00 ...... love it!
Took 2 drawers out to display a few things.

Got this at a local store Vintage Pixie -
I made my own spritz sprays -
Thank you Lynn for lending me
the ink :)
as well I have my stacks of embellishments.
Have had them for awhile & they work.

Top of filing cabinet, Love my red bin,
All the way from London, ON !!
Flower tubs, chipboard dumped into a
glass jar from dollar store ($2),
I decorated a coffee tin for my distressing tools,
Candle warmer & some plates that need to be
hung after the reno is done.

Loved them & got them for a great price,
so you know I bought them,
now they too need a home!!

My latest precious - COPIC SKETCH markers,
fun fun fun - need more colours for shading -
then I will need a new container ;(
this one was $7.99 - great find.

What I see from where I sit.

On top of the pantries across from where I sit,
this changes as I rearrange the decorations in the house.
This seams to be a great storage \ display area.

Fireplace to keep my toes warm.
Used to be in our room,
but now has a new home here,
love what it adds to the room.
& yes I have to hang the clock still.
Again want to wait for reno so I can hang
everything where I want it.

Attempting to keep hubby happy
by not putting a bunch of holes in his
new drywall...

The closet - going to build shelves here
someday - it sorta works for now.

The beautiful door hubby got me so I don't feel
in a dungeon -
draw back is baby can See me &
knows hoe to open door . . . . .

I enjoy the interruption for a few minutes
until he thinks the copic markers are for him . ;)

Beside the pantry / behind the door -
love this nook. These pictures were in my office
until I had maternity leave.

They seam so perfect there,
I have not taken them back to work.

Got the magazine rack
for $21.99 - has a small mark near the
bottom to get the discount
& well I like imperfect things so . . . .
it came home too . . . .

Hope you Like the little tour -
Come play with me soon,
can not guarantee that it will be neat if you
do but hey, you are always welcome.

Thank you to my Hubby
for holding down the fort
so I could get this down.

Organizing The Cards

Ok so I started to organize
some greeting cards today -
which led to the label maker coming &
out and making labels & making
the card organizers DONE!

It was such a great feeling -
instant gratification of
a completed job.

I don't have befor pictures but
I am sure you can imagine what they looked
like before labels &
a few cards tucked in the front awaiting filing.

Taa daa .........

Loading Loading Loading

I have spent a few hours today removing Taylor's
Layouts and photographing them. It i s taking me
longer to do this than anticipated because I wan to
use natural light instead of flash - so I have
to wait for a sunny day & I also have to have time
with out the little guy to take all of the books apart
& put them back together.

While going through Taylor's today I tried to
put them in order to some degree. I did not get out the
Picasa to check all the dates & record the
missing ones ( that is a whole other project)!

So I have them photographed, the 8x8
books anyways & am Loading Loading Loading,
Then Cropping Cropping Cropping,

In the meantime, here are a few from the
last crop I went to .......

Ahh Pinterest . . . . The Perfect escape from House Work

So I did get the house cleaner - it is not spotless -
but I will settle for a decent effort. My husband always makes
funny comments when I drone on about the state of the house -
he likes to remind me of horribly discusting places that
our house could look like! Too funny . . . .

Any way, took a break to blog & of course look at pinterest!

Want to make these, need to start thinking of a place to put them.

Crafty idea for old window frames,
happen to have a few of those!!

Love teh glass knobs on the old cabinet door -
that is a sweet recycle.

Would like to make these as well.
I have some pretty awesome Scrap Pads
that would make some sweet balls.
Would like these in Taylor's Room ,
But I don,t think she has room ;(

Well Hopefully i can get a few more Scrapped pages
loaded tomorrow - have a great week-end.

Alexander's Scrapbook

Well as you can see I got all of Alex's Baby Album done and loaded.
I kept all of the backgrounds the same colour scheme to help all of the
photos flow & help me actually get it done. I had fun having a few time
outs and getting creative again. This was my first real creative work since
Alex had been born. Hope you Enjoy!!

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
