Papercraft Business Challenge New Year Challenge!

Hello Friends and Welcome back to a new year
and new challenges at Papercraft Business Challenge!

This month to start the New Year
the theme is Any Thing Goes!!

I have creates a double page layout with
a photo of myself which I never do!!
Its a new year & everyone will be looking
to make changes in themselves.
While like every one I could stand to loose a few pounds,
I truly do like myself as a person!

I encourage you all to love yourselves & try
to create about you!!
It's out of the comfort zone but well worth the effort!!

The paper size I prefer is 8x8.  I like these little pint size books.
They are more manageable so they are picked up ans looked at more often.

In order to make things fit, I often need to cut things in half or trim them down!
I loved these big Sparkly words but they were all bigger than 8".
A little snip and they were good to go!
This was part of a card, but again with smaller paper it was not fitting so I
trimmed the words out and arranged them in the corner to fit!
I added some flowers I fussy cut from the same line of paper,
& a few enamel dots cause I love them.  Everything is layered
at different heights with various pop dots.

The photo is an Snapchat photo that I was playing with.
Again, I rarely do those either, but her is to a new year & change!!
I fussy cut more flowers & popped some of them up.

Thank you all for stopping in -

Baby Double Layout - To the Moon & Back

Hello friends -
as promised I am back today to share another layout with you.

Today's layout is some leftover paper and ephemera from a
Virginia Nebel project kit.
I love the pieces that Virginia pairs together!!

This layout is still needing photos,
however they are a friends child so I wanted to
add them after I posted here.

So just picture pictures of a baby boy in the Polaroid frames.

The Polaroid frames came in one large sheet,
only a few were needed to the orginal project.
I added navy paper to the reverse so the words would pop, and be visible

I cut clouds out of the background paper & mounted with pop dots.
One of the cards that I wanted to use wasn't going to fit on pone page,
so I spread it out over both pages with an overlap effect.

The moon I covered with Wink of Stella to give it a really pretty shimmer.
Its hard to pick it up on the camera but you can see it on the top left of the moon.
I also matted the cards to give them some weight on the page.
There are also a few matte rhinestones
to replicate the shinning stars in the night sky.

I added several matte and shinny rhinestones to the top borders.
I love when the stars twinkle in the sky & it seamed to suite this layout.
I really need to find more of these matte ones - I adore them.

Here is a close up of the other two cards that I used.
These will be perfect with the baby pictures.
He is a week old and so sweet!  New babies are so special.
I left these cards plain minus a few rhinestones
to tie in the shimmer through out the layout.

Back with Layouts ....

Hello friends -
I was away for a bit with a very slow laptop
that made loading pictures painful!!

Hubby gifted me a new one for Christmas &
I am back at it !
Horay!!!

Here is a layout I worked on a month ago -
before the Christmas Crazy hit anyway!

This layout was created with the newer I am paper by Simple Stories.
I love Simple Stories as you all know -
all of the accessories tend to match and you can use most of them together.
Which is super handy while creating & easier on the pocket book!

The layout was inspired by a layout Nicole Nowosad made for SCT.
Her layouts was a one page 12x12 similar to the one below.
Because my layouts are 8x8 - I have to make several cats and changed when trying
recreate anything the talented ladies create.

I wanted to have a second page so I played with all of the left overs I had
and came up with this very busy & bright page!!

The flowers were created from a layout kit instructions Nicole made.
Mine are smaller just to fit - so fun & easy to make!!

They all look so different depending on the paper you choose!

The tin/enamel dots are the We Are Family line -
but they still match so well!!

Thanks for stopping by the check in on what I am up to -
I will be posted more now that I can so - come on back !!

Leave a comment so I can come visit you and see what you are creating!!
adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
