Paper Craft Business Challenge September ~ Thank You

Hello everyone!!
Welcome back for Septembers challenge
at

I do hope you come over and play along,
simply click the link above to share your work
and be entered to win a prize!!!

This month is Anything Goes or Thank You.

 I used a Stampendous Stamp - CSD04 Bouquet & Mason Jar,
Scrapbook and Cards today Happy Easter / Spring sentiment,
Lawn Fawn Quilted Background,
Tim Holtz Distress Markers & Inks,
twine & washi tape by Recollections
& of course various papers.

I stamped my image on watercolour paper with Ranger Archival Ink.
I coloured in part of the image with the markers and
added more colour and shading with the ink pads using a water brush.
I notched the mason jar image at the bottom ring once cut out,
to have the twine sit in place as it would on a real jar.

The above card has two layers of pop-dots on the flowers & one on the jar.
I wanted the flowers to come off the page more than the jar.

I usually make the same size cards, so I thought i would shake it up a little,
the larger square card gives the jar more blank space surrounding it,
and makes more of a focal point.

When I stamped the image I coloured two,
as one usually turns out better than the other,
and I like to try to make more than one at a time.

I am really enjoying the watercolur with distress ink,
I may just need to do more of these!

Thank you for stopping by to see my creation

Have a Sublime Birthday

I had a down night while all of the kids were busy
so I sat down & started to play with a few
new sets I got in the spring.

With school starting soon we will
need cards for Birthday parties.

The main stamp set I used is the Lawn Fawn You Are Sublime,
The Bayou Backdrop die & some bubbles from Fintastic Friends.

I used the Mama Elephant Trio of Waves die and
Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers & Broken China to make waves.
I then used the Peacock feather ink to make bubbles.
I used Crystal Effects on the mask & on the windows of the sub
& on the bubbles.  I also used a black glaze pen to make the fish eyes.

The scuba diver is popped up on a double foam dot,
the sub is popped up and one green & one orange fish.
I cut two layers of green from the Bayou die and put the dark over
the light just on the bottom.

I love the added detail that the glaze, crystal effects & layers give the card.

Here are the supplies I used to make the card.
