Have a Sublime Birthday

I had a down night while all of the kids were busy
so I sat down & started to play with a few
new sets I got in the spring.

With school starting soon we will
need cards for Birthday parties.

The main stamp set I used is the Lawn Fawn You Are Sublime,
The Bayou Backdrop die & some bubbles from Fintastic Friends.

I used the Mama Elephant Trio of Waves die and
Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers & Broken China to make waves.
I then used the Peacock feather ink to make bubbles.
I used Crystal Effects on the mask & on the windows of the sub
& on the bubbles.  I also used a black glaze pen to make the fish eyes.

The scuba diver is popped up on a double foam dot,
the sub is popped up and one green & one orange fish.
I cut two layers of green from the Bayou die and put the dark over
the light just on the bottom.

I love the added detail that the glaze, crystal effects & layers give the card.

Here are the supplies I used to make the card.

Teacher Thanks - Sailboat

Here is another quick card I forgot to share

It was a request from a friend for a teacher card,
sailing theme.  I don't have any sailboat stamps -
so a paper pieced boat was the ticket!

I downloaded a clip art sailboat & pieced the sails.
The water is the MFT clouds,
clouds are LF & the sun is pieced from punches and scraps.
I love to add dimension where ever I can, this seamed to make the water pop,
and I love the added yellow twine!

The inside was super simple!

Have a great Weekend!!

Penny Black Artist Card

Hello All

I have been MIA making memories
with my family at camp -
I have made a few cards, but I have not done well
at loading them here for you all to see!

I made this card for a friends niece.
She wanted something special and her niece
took up painting recently so - so taa daa!!

The stamp is a Penny Black,
The description of her niece - hair colour and always wears blue was
followed when I created the card.  I like to make the cards
as personal as possible.

I feel it makes them more special.

Thanks for stopping in today -
Have a great weekend!

Champangne Birthday Pop up card

Here is another card I made for
my niece Maddie - Her mom wanted a
special card for her 19th / Champagne Birthday.

I didn't have everything I needed for this card so I did what I do best -
Improvised!!

I looked for free digital images that I could print.

My colour scheme was Gold / Hot Pink  & Black.
I saw this background of shimmer & knew it would be a great backdrop.

I layered balloons with glitter , champagne ,
flutes, and sequins to make a full 3D effect.

All of the balloons, flutes & bottle were all coloured with Versa Marker
& clear embossed to give them a shine &
make them more realistic.

As you can see above everything was attached with acetate
so that all the items floated out of the box.

This is the back, I like to add this rectangle for
the giver to write on.

Thanks for popping in!

Summer Layouts - Photoplay Lakeside

Here is a three page layout from some of our fishing adventures -
There is nothing I love more than being in the boat fishing &
spending time with the kids!

This little fishing hole is only good at the beginning of the season
but is amazing because of the waterfall at the dam.

The little man takes fishing very seriously,
somehow he always figures a way that he caught the Biggest, The Most & The Largest!

These photos are from the mouth of the river -
there is a huge beach as you enter the river,
it is a favorite of the entire family.

Here they are all grouped together -
couldn't get a good photo of them all laid out.

Hope you enjoyed my summer layouts,
leave a comment & I can come visit you and see
what you are creating.
