Valentines For Friends

I love to get together with my friends and scrapbook -
there are only a few Crop around where I live-
Unfortunately I have missed the last 2
as I have been away with the kids!

This past Saturday was the Craft for Heart in our area.
It has always been known as Crop for Heart but with
numbers dwindling at the even -
they thought they may try something new.
All crafters could bring their projects.

Even though I wasn't there,
I sent Valentines for my Friends.

They were so much fun,
I used the Lawn Fawn Box Card & Shadow Box card Dies.
This will be some of my favorite to play with for along time.

Here is the Shadow box card,
I used the Stinkin' Cute Lawn Fawn Set inside &
Paper is K&Company.

This is the top view of the card,
you can see the banner at the back,
and the 2 hillsides staggered in the card.

These super cute trees come with the Shadow box die.

I coloured most of the skunks like the above photo
but saw one on Pinterest like the one below,
so I thought I would try it!

Here is the second style, The Pop-Up box card.
The stamp set on this card id the lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie,
I did use another bird from another set,
sorry not sure which one as I have Lawn Fawn
pieces coloured & ready to go on my desk.
I love how they co-ordinate, so to get the most from my sets,
I have several ready to go so I can play with the set up of all of my cards.
Paper is K&Company.

This is the card closed, as you see they fold flat for envelopes,
and can pop open as soon as the card is out.

Top view of the closed card.

I took a few pictures of the process-
something I am going to try to do more of this year.

Here is the stamp set & the coloured pieces ready for assembly.
I have 4 of these clear trays on my desk, stacked with coloured
images ready to make cards, or add to cards.
That way I can sit & colour or sit & assemble / create!

Here is the card float open,
I attached the hills to one side, then the other.
Picture two is the hills attached to the left side with
the elements on them, no decorative embellishments yet.

As you can see i like to assemble all the elements ( trees etc) first,
then I start the construction of all the cards once I have all of the items ready.
I find I get more done this way.
Second picture is the card with all of the decorative pieces added.

If you havent played with these dies - put it on your list...
They are so much fun!

  2. They are ADORABLE!!! How fun to make these for your friends! LOVE the dimension! I wish we had a scrap area here - I don't know of any honestly.. When I lived in Monticello, UT. We had a Monthly all Night crop! It was so much fun... my friends would work on layouts and I would work on my cards... I miss it... (inserting a sad face)- Happy Valentine's Day! :)

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
