Papercraft Business Challenge June: Birthday

Hello crafty friends
It is a new month and a new challenge at

This months theme is Birthday!

Here is what I created to share with you,
I used The MFT Stamp You're Mermazing.
It is a special little girls 9th birthday this weekend
& I am helping to get her Mermaid Party together.
It was really a no brainer which stamp I was using!!

In true mermaid fashion she glimmers
and is shaded in purples.
Unfortunately you can't see all of the shading in this photo
but she was cute before I gave her some bling.

We all have numerals left from alpha sets so this is a great way to use them up!

I created the background from basic white card stock.
I inked it in  Tim Holtz Broken China,
masked it with a shell template & added
Peacock feather and dusty concord.

The memento inks are are what I stamped out the seaweed with.

I know the birthday girl is going to love this.
I may even add her name after and put it in a
shadow box frame to match her gift.
It's a dresser try that says
I am secretly a Mermaid, along with more decor.

I make need to make a few of these for the stash - just too cute!!

Happy Birthday - Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses

Hello Friends -

I was putting card together as I coloured & cut
a BUNCH of imaged & i just love the way this card turned out!!

I have been playing around with how I take photos - so bear with me !!
I like the lighting but horrible shadows - hmmm

On to the card!  I used Lawn Fawn Butterfly Kisses,
The word birthday from Year Nine ( Taco), a banner die I have,
Lawn fawn grass die & stitched circle.

The sky was created with Tim Holtz
Peacock feather distress ink & a template I made from the
Lawn Fawn Cloudy hillside pop-up add on die.

I am always tring to find a way to show all of the dimension on the cards.
I loke to use various foam dots, squares & tape as they are all
different think thicknesses!

As always I used my glaze pen to accent eyes &  did the butterfly antennae.

Thanks for popping to visit & see my card

Teacher Cards have begun!

Hello friends -
I have begun to make Teachers cards from my son and all
of my friends - there are certain times they all make requests
& I Love it!!
I see so many great ideas but with one teacher -
that limits what I can make -
so far I have 12 cards made
( will share them this week)
and only 3 are not claimed!
YIPEE!!
Her is the first:

I friend has a sweet tiny little girl and she is a doll -
This was made for her:
I used the MFT stamp Pure Innocence You make the Grade.

I don't have alot of these stamps but I loved this one right away-
I think I struggle with the hair! lol

As always I popped several pieces up -
I do not like flat cards!
Its a personal think I think,
if someone else makes it i Love it -
when I do I feel like it needs more!

The Office Birthday Card - Dwight

It was recently my sons 21 st Birthday.

He loves the Office and has watched all episodes ans seasons more than once -
So I decided a Dwight Schute Birthday card was in order!!

Dwight has too be one of the kids favorite characters
because he says the most ridiculous things!
FALSE - often starts his sentences.

I uses crystal effects to made his glasses more realistic looking
and give the card some pizzazz.

I liked the look of the plastic label maker on the inside.
Needless to say he loved it!!

Thanks for popping in!!

Graduation Cap Pop-up card

Hello Friends
It is a long week-end here in Canada,
but its cold - so I got some play time in today!

Graduation is just around the corner so I worked on a few fun cards!

When Closed teh card look like a Grad Cap on the card,
when open in shows the sentiment and
all of the fun and celebrations that sequence bring!

Here is the card fully Open.
My daughters schools colour is a dark red and black.

The other large High school in town is Yellow and red.
I love this tassel as I made it with silk thread.

The Grad cap is really the symbol for Graduation so I love that it is the focal
point of this entire card.

As the card open you see the sentiment and the sequence.

Thanks for popping in to visit - I hope I inspired you to create today!
Please share a link to  your blog is you have one below so I can visit you!

I would like to enter these cards into the following Challenges:

A - Achievement of a goal = graduation
Y - Youth graduate

Flamingo Card - Tickled Pink We're Friends

Hello friends - I was home today battling a cough that has taken over!!
I decided to stay home and rest after going going going!
as all mom  & women do.

Well I took a peek at some challenges that were posted recently &
I decided to create a card to match some !

The flamingos are Lawn Fawn - Flamingo Together
The waves are Lawn Fawn Border dies
The circle & rectangle are Stampin' up
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted Fluffy Flamingos
The background was created with Tim Holtz Distress Inks
I coloured with Copic markers
& used a scrap of velum for my banner.

I think it turned up pretty cute!

I designed it by using several challenges to get an idea!
