Stuck?! Sketch Challenge

With all of the card making my layouts have fallen to the wayside.
Today I wasn't feeling 100% so i decided to get at them.

Her is the first one I tackled.  The Sketch is from Stuck?!
You can visit the here & play along:

When I saw the layout was for one l photo I knew that
I wanted to use it for a photo of my daughter,
she has mastered the art of selfies being 16!

I also recently purchased Photoplays Rhapsody kit,
I bought it for pictures of her!

So here is what I came up with

I used some sequined string & beaded string that match the colours.

I used a sticker element but backed it on the same navy paper as the layout.
It seamed to get lost without the border.

She is simply beautiful -
and has mastered the selfie!

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
Please feel free to leave a comment so I
knew that you were here,,,

I ended up making two cards -

I really like the sky on this card better than the
the other card -
oh no cause that a new die I just got .
hmm may need to play with it more.....

I have never coloured images with pencil crayon
but thought I may try something new and different.
I am not sure that I will do this again,
but it was good to try something new.

Here is the inside of the card, I like
to use all of the extra coloured items inside the card.

Here is card #2
You can see the stitched die background here - I need to figure this die out
I am not sure I love this one - Yet!

Sketch & Scrap Challenge

Here is my take on Card Sketch #116.
I have been going to Sketch & Scrap for
the last few years -
You can check out their
card & layout Sketches here:

This is the sketch for the second card this month

Early tonight I created a card for another challenge,
I always stamp 2 images,
so I coloured the second and used this sketch to complete another card!

I think this is one of the first times in awhile
that my card mimics the sketch exactly,
I usually have a spin.

I had to put some light green paper behind the doily,
it was just blending it with out it.

Thanks so much for stopping by to me my card!!

Stay tuned for this image in a new way in a few days!!

MFT Card Challenge Sketch #373 & Color challenge #88

I popped into MTF Card Challenge to see this week Challenges

You can visit them here:

The Card sketch this week is

and here is the colour challenge for the week

So I started to colour my image with this colour scheme.
I used a MFT Pure Innocence girl,
I do not have any of these stamps yet as I have only started to grow my
stamp collection, but I was playing at a friends house & she
has been stamping for years and has several - you can see here work here

Here is my Card -
I used the colour scheme & sketch to create a card.

I tried to colour her dress a little different than normal.
I used some longer swish strokes it that makes any sense.

I rarely use Black for a card base, but seeing at there are black line in the paper,
and it is part of the challenge, I thought why not.
I just needed to add white so you could write inside the card.

here are the shades of red & pink I used for the card,
I didn't think to include skin tones I am realizing now.

Thanks for stopping by.
hope you have a chance to try out the MFT Challenges &

hop on over to visit Tracy!

Weekly Christmas Card with Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays

Well it's the end of another week and
so here is My Christmas Card for this week.

I used  Lawn Fawn's
Home for the Holidays Stamp, Slide on Over die set,
Stitched Mountain borders, Stitched Hillside die & Snowy Backdrop.

Image result for lawn fawn starry skies die

This is the first slider card I made:

To make it slide nice I used the EK success powder tool -
which smells like baby powder!

I love dimension on cards, it seams to just make
the card more interesting.
The snow, some trees and the hillside are all set at different heights.

The inside of the card. I like a little detail inside.

Inks used to make the sky.

I really like the way this turned out,
the picture just isn't as good as real life.

Hope you enjoyed my card -
its just a fun little change for myself.

we all have so many great holiday stamps etc,
its a nice way to use them all year long.

Little Boy Birthday Cardh

A little while ago,
Alex had friend over and wanted to know all about
what I was doing in my craft room and what
all of the tools where.

When a young person takes an interest,
I am all in.
His little brother was having his second birthday
later that day, so I helped him make a card.

We used the mama Elephant Lunar Animals
with Lawn fawn Say Cheese Polaroid frame,
and Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie Balloon stamp & die.
We also used versamark to make stars in the background
with glitter embossing powder.

We tied the string around the balloons to hide the string extensions,
ans add dimension to the card.
I also showed Ben how you can add more
dimension using pop dots to
lift the focus of your card.

When he got home,
his mom reported that he explained all of the steps and
tools he used to make the card.

He was very happy with the finished product.

MFT You Gnome Me & Magic Colour Slide

Last week was my Gramma's birthday .

She loves Gardening & has a lot of
decor in her flower beds,
she also has 2 gnomes on her end table.

So making a garden Gnome card seemed like a great Idea.
I used the MFT BB You Gnome Me stamp set.

I really wanted to use the Lawn Fawn Magic colour die as well.

Here it is open.

I forgot to take a photo of the inside
before I wrote in it.

Here is the insert as I coloured it.

Here it is inserted into the slide pocket.

I need to work on this style again soon, it is super fun.

I think it will make a great kids card!
adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
