Sketch N Scrap #97

I have started to work on a Heritage Album as a gift
but all the pages started to look similar to me.
So I headed over to Sketch N Scrap for some inspiration.

Here is their Sketch

The paper is BoBunny Et Cetera
The hard wear is we are Memory Keepers from years ago,
and the key stickers are Pixie Press.

Small K & Company Album / Use an Old Item In your Stash Challenge

One of my Scrappy friends Denise challenged us to use an old stash item.

I poked around around to she what inspired me and here is what I came up with.

I had a minni K & Company album kit
but it was more bare that I like -
I also was addicted to the company for some time
so have lots of coordinating papers and the tag pad.

Once I opened it - it really just all fell into place!!

All I have to do now is print pictures for it -
I think I will use it for my scrappy friends album!!

Dig into your stash, what will you create?

Starting Valentines!

I started Valentines really by coincidence.

When I was looking for an images for the get well card I was this cute one
with the hearts so i decided to colour it up as well.

It was on Copic paper so no bleed - YEAH!
Unfortunately all the used Glitter doesn't really show up that well.
I glittered the hearts and the I love you stamp.

The heart inside is glittered as well.

Hope you have a great day and feel loved!

Get Well card Attempt 2!

First Get well card was a fail as you could see last post,
so here is attempt 2.

There is a bit of bleed as I used an old stamped image and I guess
It was not on copic paper - oh well...

I also have 2 really cute paper pads that I bought for Cards form Joanne's,
Gotta use that Stash - I have had them for 2 years & had not cracked them yet -
so hey - now I have a card for my father in law,
I had some crafty time, and used my stash !

No I have to go make dinner - wish I was feeling creative about that!

Distress Water Colour Fail !

I usually dont post fails but hey!

I wanted to try something new - watercolour painting with
distress inks-
FAIL!
I had a few stamped images and wanted a get well image,
so I grabbed one, the tools needed and began the creative process,

I liked this image, started with the dress, and it was going well
as it was a small area & hey I was doing something new -
UNTIL I worked in a larger area & the paper was not responding -
you guessed it,
I didn't use watercolour paper!

anyway I tried something new - would like to again -
this would be awesome if it worked.

Here is what I got - a blended mess -
oh well !

I tried to go around her to create a shadow so it WASN'T super obvious that
the hair bled. next time!!

Have a great day - try something new!

Fan of the Game !

If you have looked at my blog at all you will know I Love Hockey.
Most of my family Likes or Loves it as well.

tonight we took our youngest to watch the local
Varsity team play with his little buddy.
They have a bunch of things that happen through out the game.
One announcement is Fan of the Game.
Well you guessed it our youngest won.
He wore his Toque, Jersey & Claw.
I am sure it helped that his little buddy wore
one of our jersey's & we bought him a claw!
Loved it!
Unfortunately hubby used his Samsung for pictured so i could scrap the moment,
yeah the Samsung was not a good purchase!
not that my apple is stellar but a whole lot better!

Our little guy Alex is on the Left.

We didn't win but here were a few goals to cheer for.

There were too many Ryerson Rams Goals to not be excited over!

This is the team mascot Wolfie, as our hometown team is The ThunderWolves.

Hope you have something to cheer for today!

Crop & Create Layout

i was fortunate enough to go to Crop & Create
with my scrapbook friends again this year.
we had a blast as i am sure you have seen in a previous post.

I have dug into some of my purchases i made there
& created a layout from a kit i bought.
i always have to change them a bit as i make 8x8 layouts
and theirs are set for 12x12.
i don't mind at all i have all of the amazing materials
and a sketch so to say.

the kit was designed by my favorite Crop & Create
instructor Vicki Boutin & Virginia Nebel.

single page layout done by Vicki Boutin

my version of her layout

this photo was taken a few years ago at a friends wedding
with the little disposable cameras on the table
she thought it was so nice she made a copy for us.
my favorite - i loved the dress - got it 75% off - now its so big on me i cant wear it - YEAH!

Hope you have an inspired day!
adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
