October Challenge ~ Papercraft Business Challenge

Hello friends and welcome to
a new challenge at Papercraft Business Challenge.

You can Link up with them here:

This months Challenge is
Halloween / Fall or Anything Goes

I wanted to think outside of a card
because after all the site is for anything paper craft.

I bought this house kit at the end of last season form Michael's,
they have them again this year if you are interested,
they are even on sale now with it being closer to Halloween.

I used several pieces from the kit & some of my own stash.

Let me take you threw the rooms:
The Attic has a chandelier that is extremely popped off the back wall
with about 4-5 layers of foam tape
& some Tim Holtz Mini Pumpkins.

Beside the attic on the roof is Mr. Bones
holding his pumpkin he picked.

Every room has it's own wallpaper.  Some are from the kit,
other are from another Recollections kit I have in my stash.
No 12x12 papers were harmed in the making of the house! lol
The kit comes with tickets that I distressed,
small plastic spiders, bat stickers, gold rhinestones, &
a Tim Holtz Mini Skeleton.

The last room as mini Jenni Bowlin Bingo Cards
& more spiders.  I kept this room simple because
Mr. Bones legs hang in front of it and make it busy.

This is the second floor.  This room has another chandelier,
I figured a house of this size would have more than one!
Nest there are 2 glass jars willed with black glitter
that I think may have been embossing powder,
but don't recall putting it in a zip-lock bag with Halloween stuff!!
Also there is a big ol' nasty spider on the side of the house here! eek!

We all have those rhinestone words kicking around so why not use them up!!
This has been in the stash for some time and I was happy to use it.
The room was completed with more Tim Holtz mini pumpkins & a skull.

The main floor has 3 rooms, the first is simple.
I distressed this bottle top from the kit and popped it up with foam.
I added pumpkins and more rhinestones, I like for basic elements to repeat.
This floor has a paper bunting that runs from left to right.  I just liked the layer it gave.

Any old home would have a skeleton key for sure!
Not to mention I love them - so one needed to be added.
I thought it was fitting to have the skulls locked away with they.
After all one does not simply leave skull slaying about!

The last room has a date -
This is MME paper that I cut and popped out with foam tape.
It is not obvious in this photo but the right ride of the paper
has 2 more layers of foam than the left making it on an angle in the room.

Here are some of the products I used & what the original kit packaging looked like.
It would have been straight forward to follow but I like to get creative!

This is what I started with.  It is a manila colour and I used Tim Holtz Photo stain to
try to give it a wood grain feel.  I covered the house in stain &
then layered the stencil on top.  Some angled and corner areas were tricky.

Oncer I had the house covered I had to let it dry for a few hours so everything would stick.

Next I started to add wall paper.  Some were cut other were torn.
All have the Vintage Photo distress ink on them.
It helps tie all the different paper together.
I also decided to add the lace trim as flooring an all the rooms.
Once they were all done I liked the added layer.

Here is one last peek at the Completed House! Boo!

I hope that is inspires you to create something Halloween or Fall inspired
ans share it with us at PaperCraft Business Challenge.
Remember it can be a card, a layout, a decoration, if it has paper ~ we want to see it!

Sympathy Cards

My aunt had requested a few Sympathy cards to have on hand,
I had a few that I have shared here already, but needed more.

I checked out Pinterest & found a few ideas!

Here is What I came up with

I used Distress ink to ink my background,
I stamped the thistles in black & sentiment
then used embossing powder to make them pop.

I liked this paper, it's light,
I liked it paired with the dandelion puff,
I also added the butterfly & sentiment
then embossed them.

This stamp is one of my favorite & most used stamps,
The entire stamp has a lot of  poppies but I sectioned on off.
& stamped it on this shape and popped it up.
I them added the sentiment and embossed it.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards!!

Birthday Gift for a Special Friend

Hello Friends -
I wanted to share a project for a special Crafty Friend,
She better not peek until she received this gift,
she will know its for her right away!!

I created this Tag & gift wrap with most of her favorites:
and of course I made sure that they matched up with challenges,
hence I need to post before she sees!! eek~

This is a tag I made instead of a card.
Most pieces on here are specific to her.

She stamps 3 Hearts for her 3 girls on
all of her cards & creations,
her colours she uses are primary burgundy and browns,
She loves flowers and uses swirls on her labels in her craft room.

She has several Prima Girls and she does
amazing work with them,
she pieces all of their outfits.
She even bought me this stamp!

I distressed a doily and added it to this bag & added
some vintage muslin.
My girlfriend loves Shabby Chic & vintage items.

The best is that the package contains
stamps of a show she is obsessed with!
I hope she loves it!!
It was fun to make!!

it is a spin off of a great card I found on Pinterest.
It was created by Heather and can be found on
her blog here : Parker & Molly.
It was too cute to not play around with!!

AS you can see I used Glossy Accents on the windows,
Stickles on the roof &
Wink of Stella on the door and hitch.

This one is basically the same with different background paper,
I like to make two or more of each card - it is just easier!

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
