Sympathy Cards

My aunt had requested a few Sympathy cards to have on hand,
I had a few that I have shared here already, but needed more.

I checked out Pinterest & found a few ideas!

Here is What I came up with

I used Distress ink to ink my background,
I stamped the thistles in black & sentiment
then used embossing powder to make them pop.

I liked this paper, it's light,
I liked it paired with the dandelion puff,
I also added the butterfly & sentiment
then embossed them.

This stamp is one of my favorite & most used stamps,
The entire stamp has a lot of  poppies but I sectioned on off.
& stamped it on this shape and popped it up.
I them added the sentiment and embossed it.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards!!
I would like to enter them into the following challenges

Birthday Gift for a Special Friend

Hello Friends -
I wanted to share a project for a special Crafty Friend,
She better not peek until she received this gift,
she will know its for her right away!!

I created this Tag & gift wrap with most of her favorites:
and of course I made sure that they matched up with challenges,
hence I need to post before she sees!! eek~

This is a tag I made instead of a card.
Most pieces on here are specific to her.

She stamps 3 Hearts for her 3 girls on
all of her cards & creations,
her colours she uses are primary burgundy and browns,
She loves flowers and uses swirls on her labels in her craft room.

She has several Prima Girls and she does
amazing work with them,
she pieces all of their outfits.
She even bought me this stamp!

I distressed a doily and added it to this bag & added
some vintage muslin.
My girlfriend loves Shabby Chic & vintage items.

The best is that the package contains
stamps of a show she is obsessed with!
I hope she loves it!!
It was fun to make!!

MFT Magical Unicorns - Birthday Cards

As I was getting caught up with the blog I found a few
new challenges & seeing as I had to make Birthday cards
for 2 parties Alex will be going to in the next week,
now was as good as any to enter them.

Here are my 2 cards

The cards are inspired from a combination of challenges

Fairy & Unicorn Challenge was ATG Unicorn
Crazy for CAS was anything Pinterest Inspired
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge was use stamps,
Sunday Stamps had a sketch.

So this is what I have.

I made 2 a little different as both cards are going to girls
in his class, so I didn't want them the same.
I just love the MFT Stamps.
This Unicorns horn & hooves are done in copic gold Y28 with
Wink of Stella clear over the top.

The inside of both cards have a slot for a gift card or money.
That just what kids love & it's easy!
No toys sitting on shelves!

Card two has the unicorn embossed with clear and sparkle
embossing powder that I put on with Versa Marker.

AS for the challenge that is inspired by Pinterest here was my inspiration
created by Little Yellow Birdy.
Lawn Fawn - Critters Ever After, Party Animal, Rainbow Lawn Cuts die, Puffy Cloud Borders, Beachside paper _ super cute card| by Sharna (redheadedtemper22) via Flickr

Here are the links to the Challenges I am Entering:

As you can see I took a few liberties with this one , but I have my base ,
a rectangle on top of it, the clouds are on an angle ( the opposite angle),the Rainbow is my shape ( on the other side) and I have a sentiment.  ta da

Paper Craft Business Challenge September ~ Thank You

Hello everyone!!
Welcome back for Septembers challenge
at

I do hope you come over and play along,
simply click the link above to share your work
and be entered to win a prize!!!

This month is Anything Goes or Thank You.

 I used a Stampendous Stamp - CSD04 Bouquet & Mason Jar,
Scrapbook and Cards today Happy Easter / Spring sentiment,
Lawn Fawn Quilted Background,
Tim Holtz Distress Markers & Inks,
twine & washi tape by Recollections
& of course various papers.

I stamped my image on watercolour paper with Ranger Archival Ink.
I coloured in part of the image with the markers and
added more colour and shading with the ink pads using a water brush.
I notched the mason jar image at the bottom ring once cut out,
to have the twine sit in place as it would on a real jar.

The above card has two layers of pop-dots on the flowers & one on the jar.
I wanted the flowers to come off the page more than the jar.

I usually make the same size cards, so I thought i would shake it up a little,
the larger square card gives the jar more blank space surrounding it,
and makes more of a focal point.

When I stamped the image I coloured two,
as one usually turns out better than the other,
and I like to try to make more than one at a time.

I am really enjoying the watercolur with distress ink,
I may just need to do more of these!

Thank you for stopping by to see my creation

I do hope that you come and join us at
