March Break Fun - Belated!!

I never did get around to posting our March Break Fun -

 now to get the pictures printed so I can scrap them.

We Bowled!

Followed by a Snack

Headed to Party City 

Then Toys R Us 

A quick stop at Gap

Topped off with a few science experiments

And that was all in 1 day!!

here is what I came up with 

I had a bunch of longer envelopes so i have been trying to make cards to fit them - 

kinda fun - kinda a pain but hey!

I put a bit of glossy on her cherry - I like when something is glossy or glittered on the card.

Not really loving mine - it is not enough of a variant for me

Easter Fun

You are never to old to have an Easter Egg Hunt!

The kids have one every year & Scott reminded me that 

this will be the last year Garett will be home for one - 

so there were more eggs to find than usual!

Here's a throw back - Taylor & Garett 10 years ago & the kids now!

Later Alex & I got our craft on!

We were making window clings for his room, 

we will post them when they are ready - 

he didn't want photos.

Sketch N Scrap Throw back Thursday

I was supposed to be cleaning up my desk when I realized

that the Sketch N Scrap throw back Thursday sketch &

the Stuck Sketch were very similar.

So of course I got of track & started a layout!

I have been looking at the sketches & breaking them down into

basic elements / design features.

This allows me, still use the sketch but make it all my own.

I needed 3 pictures, a back ground mat, 3 fish tail strips, layered strips, 

and groups of embellishments with a title.

Here is what I came up with : 

as you can see I have a row of three pictures, 

I have three fish tails, 

I have layered strips ( the scalloped trim was too much), 

I have groups of embellishments,  

a tag tucked under & a title in a banner.

Not an exact match but my version!

How does everyone get stellar Christmas morning photos,

my kids don't where matching pajamas, 

they don't do their hair before pictures, but they are so precious to me.

I had a few more pictures so I created a second layout for Christmas Eve.

 Every Christmas Eve we got to my in-laws to open gifts 

then we have dinner at one of the Aunt / Uncles houses.

The top right is in in-laws with all their grand kids, 

below is my daughter with the only other girl, 

her cousin Madison , and lastly My daughter with her grandfather, 

who has been pretty sick there last few years.

I can't believe I did Christmas for this year Already!!  

Easter Treats for the Class

I had to finish them earlier in the week as this week was super busy,

but the treats for the kids at School are done.

I printed them out so I had to be extra careful colouring.

Then my thought was that peeps have a shimmer to them, 

so out came the glitter! LOL 

and voila the kids have little treats.

I know a special friend who will love the peep! 

Maybe I should make her one with real peeps!!

the other 3 pages of this 4 page layout.  I love how you use a kit to knock 

out several layouts & feel like you are using up the stash!!

Because my layouts are 8.5 x 8.5 only 2 pics would fit nicely!

oh yeah - pics were from 2.5 years ago, but they are now DONE!!!

Well over at Sketch N Scrap they have a bunch of stuff going on 

as they have put their 100th sketch up.  

As you recall when they had their Birthday Month I did most of them as well!

Imagine what I could get done if they posted this much every Month!!

I actually did this one when it came out!!

Here is my most recent layout with it 

I flipped the sketch again - really loving the fact that I am gathering the basic design pieces / 

layers and then rearrange ( flip) them to what best suits the images...
